If you have downloaded the Internet version, you have to unpack the archive first.
Drag the program to the StuffIt Expander icon. After the files have been unpacked, you will have a demo version
on your hard drive. By running through the registration process, which is explained in the program, you can convert
the demo version to the full version.
Of course, if you are not eligible for an update, then you have to first purchase the program by paying the licensing
fee.
Note: A registration might not become effective until you have rebooted your computer. This depends on the
type of computer you have. The folder Manual contains several HTML files, which offer instructions and notes about
the use of Omikron Basic. To read the files use an HTML browser such as Netscape or MS Explorer. These programs
are part of the operating system since the MacOS System 8 has been on the market; however, these programs are also
available from a variety of online services, CDs in Mac magazines and via the Internet.
To receive the encoded key for the release of the demo version, you first have
to follow the six steps below to register Omikron Basic.
For updating you also have to download
the current demo version and follow theses instructions:

Enter your name and address. |

Omikron Basic generates your personal code number and enters this number
in the file 'OrderForm.html'. This form will be opened automatically with Netscape. If Netsacpe is not available,
open this file manually AFTER having run through the registration process by dragging it onto your preferred browser. |

Your personal code number appears at the top of this form. Fill in the form with
you personal data. For updating we only need your name and your registration number |

Make sure that you are connected to the internet and hit the button [SEND ORDER]
at the bottom of the page. |

The form will be transmitted to us and you will receive your key code to
release the demo version within one day.
Please note: This key code only works one single time. If you download Omikron Basic for another time you
have to run through the registration process again in order to obtain a new key code. |
Even if this seems a bit complicated to you, this registration process is made for reasons of safety. But it's
not really difficult at all - You will see...
Of course, you may also print out the form with Netscape or MS Explorer and then fax or mail it to us.
